Refrigeration & Temperature Monitoring
Monitoring Solutions for Walk-In, Reach-In, and Freezer Applications

Modularm by Kitchen Brains: Refrigeration Monitoring & Safety Solutions for OEMs
Every walk-in cooler and freezer you build carries a promise: that whatever goes inside will stay safe, compliant, and protected. Modularm by Kitchen Brains helps you keep that promise. We design and manufacture precision-engineered temperature monitors and alarms built specifically for integration into walk-in and reach-in refrigeration — engineered and manufactured in the USA and trusted by leading equipment OEMs across the industry.
For OEMs, a single undetected temperature excursion can mean spoiled inventory, a failed health inspection, or a liability claim that traces back to the equipment itself. A sealed door can turn into an entrapment hazard. A short-cycling compressor can drive up an operator's energy bill and generate a warranty claim on your desk.
Modularm temperature monitoring solutions address these risks, turning food safety, energy efficiency, and worker protection from open liabilities into safety features.
The Modularm suite spans the full range of solutions: multi-monitors that track temperature, energy use, and door status in real time; wireless LoRaWAN sensor networks that connect through steel enclosures without an electrician; cloud-based data logging that keeps operators HACCP-ready; and dedicated safety hardware, including entrapment alarms, door alarms, and motion detection are purpose-built for the walk-in environment.
Whether you're integrating monitoring directly into new equipment or offering it as an aftermarket option, Modularm is designed to fit your platform with minimal engineering lift.
OEMs choose Modularm for their refrigeration systems because it means more than adding a sensor to a bill of materials. It means giving your customers a smarter, safer product and giving your brand a tangible point of differentiation in the market.

Modularm Plus™ The Future of Refrigeration Control
Advanced refrigeration control optimizes refrigeration system performance and food safety with precise temperature and humidity control, advanced defrost management, and intelligent compressor and fan control.
Refrigeration Monitoring
The 75LCT monitors temperature, power, and door status through a touchscreen interface, alerting when conditions go out of range. Universal 110–240V input and cETLus, CE, and RoHS certification support both domestic and international equipment.
The 75LC monitors temperature, power, and door status from a single-gang footprint, alerting when conditions go out of range. Available at 120V, suitable for high-volume domestic equipment.
The 75LCT Lead Lag adds automatic switchover for designs built around two refrigeration systems. When the primary system fails, the backup takes over without manual intervention.
COMING SOON A pre-engineered refrigeration monitoring system that manages defrost, compressor, and evaporator fan operation in a single platform. Adds humidity regulation and automatic backup switchover to walk-in and reach-in designs.
Refrigeration Monitoring Accessories
The 75LC Communicator records temperature data and sends an email or text alert when temperatures are out of range. Available as wired or wireless.
The MD-1™ adds hands-free occupancy detection to your walk-in designs. Connected through low-voltage wiring to the 75LC or 75LCT.
The 75LC Wireless Module adds wireless capability to the 75LC multi-monitor to transmit data directly to the 75LC Communicator.
The DL-35™ is an audible-only door alarm with automatic compartment lighting control for walk-in cooler and freezer doors.
The DAC-55™ is an audible and visual alarm with automatic compartment lighting control for walk-in cooler and freezer doors.
The IP-1 is an illuminated panic button that adds entrapment protection to walk-in and reach-in designs. Low-voltage wiring and interior light control keep integration simple.
Temperature Monitoring
The Modularm® Temperature Monitoring System adds cloud-connected temperature and humidity monitoring to an equipment package without adding wiring to the unit. Long-range wireless sensors report to a single gateway, so coverage is easily scalable across any location.
The long-range wireless hub connects sensors across a site to the cloud to gather data and send reports or alerts via text or email. Ethernet comes standard, or a cellular option is available where network access is unavailable.
Battery-powered temperature and humidity sensor mounts directly inside any walk-in seamlessly. Long-range wireless removes cable routing from the installation, in the unit, and throughout a site.
A scalable gateway-and-sensor package sized for multi-unit and multi-site equipment programs. Delivered as a turnkey monitoring system you can include with equipment rather than build.
